Record of Huaxia Jianlong's 2020 College Students Orientation Training

In order to enable new recruits from colleges to better understand our corporate culture, familiarize themselves with our corporate rules and regulations, change roles, and quickly integrate into the Huaxia Jianlong family, the company organized a four-day orientation training for new recruits from July 25 to July 28, 2020. Fifty college students from more than 10 colleges and universities, including China University of Geosciences, North China University of Science and Technology, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology Liaoning, gathered in Chengde to participate in the training. Yuan Zhanyong, Chairman and General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, Chen Haibin, Executive Vice General Manager and General Manager of Baotong Mining, Jin Wei, Vice General Manager, and relevant leaders of various subsidiaries arrived at the site. This training will be conducted in the form of centralized face-to-face teaching, experiential interaction, and group building activities.

Yuan Zhanyong, Chairman and General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, Chen Haibin, Executive Vice General Manager and General Manager of Baotong Mining, Jin Wei, Vice General Manager, and relevant leaders of various subsidiaries arrived at the site. This training will be conducted in the form of centralized face-to-face teaching, experiential interaction, and group building activities.

At 8:30 a.m. on July 25, the training ceremony kicked off with inspirational videos and corporate promotional videos. The vivid videos exhibit the company's development process, encouraging new recruits to take this as a starting point, embark on a new journey in life, create a better tomorrow for the company with their youth and sweat, and create a brilliant future for themselves with their own efforts.

At the training ceremony, Yuan Zhanyong, Chairman and General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, delivered a speech titled "Strong Belief, Established Goals, Accumulating Strength, and Splendid Glory". Mr. Yuan, on behalf of Jianlong Group, warmly welcomed everyone, and on behalf of the senior Jianlong employees, congratulated everyone on choosing Jianlong and becoming a member of Jianlong. Jianlong has achieved countless people's dreams on career, and we believe that it will also achieve your dreams in the future.
Mr. Yuan required new recruits to establish career development goals and plan their life development direction: firstly, firmly adhere to their career beliefs and aspire to become mining elites in the new era; secondly, establish career goals and strive to become the backbone of the company within three years; lastly, persist until achievements are made and until they cannot be separated from the enterprise. Career is the fundamental and carrier of life, without which, there can be no happy life.
Mr. Yuan put forward three hopes for new recruits to establish themselves in the mining industry and achieve their career dreams: first, continuous learning, professional focus, and high efficiency with goals. Your value comes from the value you create; Second, start from scratch, cultivate quality, create a good environment for one's growth, walk with giants, and be with capable people; third, naivety is the source of innovation and true openness. We should maintain innocence and simplicity, and work optimistically; Fourth, cultivate a business personality, strengthen oneself, believe in the company, and work together with the company to create, share, and prosper together!

Chen Haibin, Executive Vice General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, pointed out in his speech that it has been 13 years since his graduation. He would like to thank the Huaxia Jianlong platform, leaders and colleagues. Different platforms will result in different outcomes. The platform provided by Huaxia Jianlong is good and large enough to showcase everyone's talents. From now on, you are already a part of Jianlong. In your future work, you should: firstly, readily ask questions if you don't understand, be down-to-earth, show equal expectations with your abilities, be diligent in learning, and be brave in persistence; secondly, face mistakes directly and be good at summarizing; it is inevitably to make mistakes during growth, and you have to learn from it and summarize rules in practice, and guide your behaviors; thirdly, I hope that everyone will live up to their youth, form good habits, become happy fighters, and dream chasers of Jianlong, and help Jianlong achieve its dreams on career.

This training consists of an introduction to the group and corporate culture, career management for college students, introduction to the mining industry and product processes, mine management and growth strategies, safety management, introduction to company management systems and office platforms, and a people-oriented management mechanism for organizational strength development. Based on the actual situation of the company, the lecturer interacted with the trainees by playing videos, giving lectures on cases, and asking questions, which stimulated everyone's enthusiasm for learning.

Jin Wei, Deputy General Manager of Huaxia Jianlong, explained the development history of the group and the corporate culture, enabling all trainees and employees to understand their behaviors and habits, corporate logo, and Huaxia Jianlong's business profile, helping everyone to quickly understand, recognize, and integrate into Jianlong.

Zhang Liang, Deputy Manager of Huaxia Jianlong's Production Technology Department, introduced the knowledge of the mining industry, the global mining pattern, the current situation of China's mining industry, and the mines of the company.

Zhou Zhenhua, Vice General Manager of Baotong Mining, gave a lecture titled "Setting Sail at a Young Age". Mr. Zhou, based on his own career development experience, encouraged new recruits to work hard and learn professional knowledge, improve abilities and skills, adapt to the company, and integrate into the company.

Wu Tianlai, Deputy General Manager of Baotong Mining, introduced the enterprise management tools such as  of PDCA, 5W1H, seven major techniques of QC, SWOT analysis method, and flowchart. At the same time, he explained the management mode of Baotong Mining, which gave new recruits a preliminary understanding of mine management.

Ma Yushun, Deputy Manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of Huaxia Jianlong, explained through cases and videos the safety management, basic knowledge of safety production, analysis of safety accident causes, safety production laws and regulations, industry safety bans, inspiring everyone to strengthen safety prevention awareness and ensure safety production in future jobs.

Yuan Baoli, Deputy Manager of Huaxia Jianlong HR & Admin, introduced the "Jianlong Rules", personnel system, employee behavior standards, and the use of the personnel system, requiring everyone to comply with the company's rules and regulations, regulate their own behaviors, and become qualified employees at work.

Liu Haiquan from Huaxia Jianlong's Personnel and Administrative Department introduced the nature management of employees, the role recognition of team leaders, organizational strength building, organizational empowerment, so that everyone can base themselves on their own positions, stimulate their work potential, and develop insights.

In order to ensure the training effect, stimulate trainees' enthusiasm for learning, and deeply practice the competition culture, 50 trainees were divided into five groups for team and personal points competition during the training process. The names of the five groups were Kunlun Sect, Orion Sect, Huashan Sect, Wudang Sect, and Banshan Sect. One outstanding team and three outstanding individuals were selected based on the points.

Each trainee participated in the training in small groups. During the training period, experiential interactive sessions were interspersed, and participants participated in activities such as extreme counting, clapping games, and frog squats, fully realizing the importance of teamwork, high trust, close collaboration, effective communication, and empathy. On the afternoon of July 27, a graduation ceremony was held. Each trainee conducted a literary and art performance in groups.

According to the statistical results of three-day team and individual points competition, the Orion Sect had the highest points and won the title of Excellent Team; Chen Jingran of Benxi Longxin Mining won the First Prize for Outstanding Individuals, Xie Yingjun of Benxi Longxin Mining won the Second Prize for Outstanding Individuals, and Cui Shaowen of Benxi Longxin Mining won the Third Prize for Outstanding Individuals.

Ms. Jin pointed out in the speech that after three days of training, everyone will definitely gain a lot. I have seen the demeanor and state of young people in the new era in you. You are enthusiastic, upright, sincere, positive, versatile, and brave in expressing yourself. In these days, your qualities have been infecting me and spreading to the entire company. The starting point of a person does not represent the end point of a person. Huaxia Jianlong has also gone from a lack of technology, funds, and talent at the beginning when it was established. The development of the company relies on our persistence in our youth and firm belief in the future, as well as our continuous learning and sustained spirit.
We hope that you are "intelligent, hardworking, capable of doing things, and not pretentious". We hope that you can build Jianlong Mining into a more technological, green, and diverse modern mining group. Jianlong's platform will also fulfill the dreams of your generation. Believe in yourself. The future is promising.

On the the fourth day, Huaxia Jianlong's Personnel and Administrative Department organized a visit to Chengde Mountain Resort for garden art learning for college students.
