About Chengde Baotong Mining

Established in 2003 with a registered capital of RMB 35.15 million, Chengde Baotong Mining Co., Ltd. (Chengde Baotong) sits at Habaqin Village of Xiaoying Town, Luanping County, Chengde, Hebei. Nature of the Company: other limited liability company. It is a high-tech enterprise integrating mining, iron and phosphorus beneficiation, and comprehensive utilization of machine-made aggregates, and a large single mine in Luanping County. Now, it has a workforce of 630 members in Luanping, with five staff members holding technical titles, and 15% of its workforce have received junior college, bachelor's or master's degrees. It is mainly engaged in the mining of iron ore, with a mine area of 3.8818 km2 and an ore extraction scale of 10 million tons/year. It has an an annual output capacity of 1.10 million tons of iron concentrates, 0.36 million tons of phosphorus concentrates and 10 million tons of aggregates.
In 2022, Baotong (including Botong) produced 1.498 million tons of iron concentrates, 0.3984 million tons of phosphorus concentrates, 3.3398 million tons of copper metal and 4.898 million tons of aggregates, with an annual business revenue of RMB 1.705 billion, realizing a total profit of RMB 568 million, a net profit of RMB 498 million and a tax payment of RMB 263 million.
The Company is one of Top 10 Enterprises of Luanping, Enterprises under Key Protection in Luanping, Top 50 Industrial Enterprises of Chengde ,Occupational Health Enterprises of Chengde, "Top 100 Private Enterprises in Hebei Province", and Leading Industrial Cluster Enterprises of Hebei. While adopting standardized management and pursuing innovative development, it is also assuming its corporate social responsibility and seeking co-building with the village actively. It has won a number of honors over the years and become a model enterprise for harmony and greenness in Chengde. Since its establishment, the Company has been devoted to scientific management and green development. In 2019, it was listed among the green mines of China by the Ministry of Natural Resources and was honored as a demonstration enterprise in turning wastes into advanced materials by China Green Building Material Industry Development Alliance. In 2020, it was certified as a Green Base of Building Aggregates in Beijing. It was the second base established since Beijing began to promote the construction of green bases of building aggregates and also the first one from outside Beijing. In 2020, the Companys resource comprehensive utilization project won a second prize of Chinese Award for Science and Technology of Non-ferrous Metal Industry. In April 2021, it was rated as one of Top 10 Factories and Mines in the 7th Metallurgy Mines Awarding Event. As a national high-tech enterprise (certified in 2020 and renewed in 2022), the Company owns 25 inventions and utilities. In 2020-2021, it was a demonstration enterprise of specialty, precision, characteristic and novelty in Hebei Province.
In January 2020, it passed the acceptance inspection conducted by Beijing Guojian Lianxin Certification Center and was certified by a professional certification agency as Hebeis first production enterprise devoted to green production and transport of aggregates and comprehensive utilization of resources. In August 2020, it was certified as a Green Base of Building Aggregates in Beijing, with the approval of Beijing Municipal Government after the deliberation and application jointly submitted by the Beijing Municipal Housing and Urban and Rural Construction Commission, Transport Administration Commission, Transportation Bureau of Public Security Bureau, Bureau of Ecology and Environment, and China Railway Beijing Bureau. It was the second base established since Beijing began to promote the construction of green bases of building aggregates and also the first one from outside Beijing. As a national high-tech enterprise, the Company now owns 25 inventions and utilities.

The Companys future planning: developing green energies, promoting the construction of pumped storage power stations and using its mining pits in planning pumped storage power stations (1200MW). It plans to finish the application and approval for projects of National Energy Administration. From 2020 to 2026, it will complete the construction of upper and lower reservoirs, tunnels and plants as well as the supporting wind power generator set, and all construction tasks of the power station, connect it to the grid and put it into operation. By 2025, it will have completed the construction of its green mines, formed a new pattern of mine development based on mining and aggregates & building materials and with coordinated development of ecological agriculture and tourism, further improved its relationship with the local areas and coordinated its economic, ecological and social benefits, and built a model green mine in the domestic building material industry.
