Jindi Mining 5.04MW Photovoltaic Project Formally Connected to the Grid for Power Generation

At 10:58 am on December 1, 2022, Jindi Mining held a successful grid connection ceremony for the 5.04MW photovoltaic project. More than 100 people, including Li Dongfeng, General Manager of the company, Liu Bin, Chief Commander of the Photovoltaic Project, Jiang Hua, Deputy General Manager of the company, as well as representatives of the construction unit, and relevant technical personnel, attended the ceremony.

In November 2021, Jindi Mining carefully planned and actively prepared for the approval work for the 5.04MW distributed photovoltaic project (self generation for self use with surplus electricity connected to the grid). In March 2022, the project began bid invitation and construction. With the joint efforts of constructors and the technicians, the installation of 9,081 photovoltaic modules was finally completed on October 25, and the grid connection and commissioning of each unit were completed on November 30. On December 1, the project was officially connected to the grid for successful power generation.

It is understood that the development of the project adopts the "photovoltaic+ecological governance" mode, which is an important practice for the company to deeply implement the concept of green and low-carbon circular economic development, as well as a firm step taken by the company under the guidance of the "one main and two auxiliary" development strategy. The project has a budgeted investment of over RMB 24 million with a designed annual generating capacity of 7 million kWh. The project is built on the idle land of the company, reasonably planned in accordance to land types, namely, partially built on existing production office roofs and the other part built on a new photovoltaic shed as the roof area to support the construction of the photovoltaic project. Based on the actual distribution of photovoltaic units within each factory area and the newly built roof area, the mode of "self generation for self use with surplus electricity connected to the grid" is adopted to fully develop and utilize the rich solar energy resources in the local area, truly achieving a win-win situation of economic and ecological benefits.

After the distributed photovoltaic power generation project is connected to the grid for power generation, it is expected to generate 7.36 million kWh of electricity annually (in the first year), which is equivalent to saving 904.5 tons of standard coal annually. It will also reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 2,368.65 tons, which is an important measure to help the company optimize its energy structure and achieve the goal of "peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality".

In 2023, Jindi Mining will firmly focus on the "one main and two auxiliary" business strategy proposed by the Group, center on "developing a low-carbon economy, comprehensive utilization of resources, digital and intelligent construction, and scientific and technological innovation", and create a mine featuring "ecological environment", "scientific development methods", "efficient resource utilization", "digital management information", and "harmonious mining community". Efforts will be made to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the company, thus assisting the company in achieving its goal of "peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality".
